Students will be encouraged to work directly from a life model at pace with a restricted colour palette and limited painting tools to produce lively and expressive head studies all in just over an hour…can it be done?
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- understand the use of restricted palette;
- exploit the use of coloured grounds;
- explore a range of mark-making techniques;
- complete a one-hour head study.

This is a one off short workshop which will include:
10 minute demonstration of techniques followed by close one-to-one tuition

What to Bring
Essentials Materials and equipment students will need to provide themselves:
- Artists’ sketchbook, pencils and charcoal, set of acrylic paints and brushes, paper or card to paint on, rags, sponge, block printing ink
